Kramer's Antique Improver is a product I've used from the beginning to clean and resotore vintage saw handles, and for that matter, any antique wood you want to rejuvenate. A little goes a long way. Simply use an old t-shirt to rub it into the wood across the grain to soak it well into the pores. Once you completely cover all surfaces, wipe it down really well and let it dry before finishing, if at that point you wish to take it a step further. This is a great tupentine and beeswax-based product applicable for any antique wood finish you want to bring back to life.
